Your Telling Me It’s Not Even Friday Yet?
I found this little donut toy at a local shop after Easter, they had so many different ones and they were onsale for like 2 bucks. I laughed seeing the donut; Bently’s little treat he gets is a timbit (or donut hole) when we go to a local coffee shop. So I thought this was just the cutest little toy for him. Turns out it is his absolute favorite toy, with all the other toys this dog owns, his favorite is a two dollar stuffed donut. Probably the funniest thing ever!
When You have all the toys a dog could ask for, but you have your heart attached to a two dollar donut toy.
Does Your pet have a favorite toy? Comment with a picture ! We LOVE meeting new fur- friends!
The cold wind, the sting of cold wet snow under my paws, the sparkle of the icicles hanging from the edge of the roof; I, myself, a small dog; am officially OVER winter. For thoughs who don’t know, we live in a northern part of Ontario, Canada. It is beautiful here, with sunshine, tall trees, the lake, fresh air, ample neighbourhood dogs to bark at and sniff. However, the winters are fun.. for like a week, then enough is enough! The blissful kiss of spring provides hope for the warm weather to come, then boom, more snow. It’s just doggone-mental! and I for one am growling mad!
The human tries to drag me outside, for a walk; bundling me up in boots, jacket and the whole bit. I just look at her in disbelief; you want ME to go out in THE cold? I huff and scuff as we make our way down our icy driveway to our street. There are NO other humans or their canine owners, why do WE need to be out here? After putting up enough of a fuss she finally gets my point; and we head home. The warm air hits my fur like a welcomed hug. I enjoy flying into the house, snow flying ALL over the floor; there human, do you understand my point? Snow is cold on your paws too isn’t it?
Any who enough of my rant for today, enjoy this warm photo of me at the lake last summer.
A dogs tale.
I, myself, a dog, very much enjoy a good car ride; like I’m sure most of my canine pals do. But how many other hounds have locked their humans out of their vehicle? Not too many I’m sure. Well the other day I did just that very thing! You see my human needed to make a quick run to our local corner store, and we live in Canada where currently, even though it’s spring; it still feels very much like winter.
She heated up the car, I got excited, so she shrugged and decided I could come along for the quick ride as well. Being a caring mum she wanted me to keep warm. So first she bundled herself up in her warm winter gear, then she assisted me with mine… even though I told her I could do it myself… she never listens.. humans, am I right?
Anyways, by the time we got all bundled up the Jeep was warm enough for us to get going, so of course I bolted out the door, had a quick sniff around; then ran to the Jeep. She again assisted me, with getting up.. and we headed off to the shop.
She once again being a kind caring mum, decided she would only be a quick minute to grab a drink and a snack; and of course she wanted me to stay warm, so she left the keys inside and the Jeep running, to keep me toasty.
I of course went into panic mode right after she was out of view, what if she was in danger?! I couldn’t see! so any who, I’m barking, jumping, causing a ruckus for what felt like an eternity (was actually only like 3 minutes) I see her pop out the door with some goodies. Phew what a relief!
Silly me in my panicked state, I stepped on the lock button! haha silly human I barked, you can’t get in! She shook her head at me. Then to my dismay, she disappeared right back into the shop! “OH THE HORROR” I barked. But just as quickly as she went in she came back. She then started pointing to the area of the unlock button dragging her finger on the window from me to the button. Ohhh you want in? Silly human all you had to do was ask! Of course I obliged, it was way to cold outside to keep the poor thing out there. She didn’t think I was too funny, but I sure did!
She laughed and got in, waved to the cashier and away we headed back home.
